​What?

​Unfortunately, we cannot accept on-the-night cash payments – we can only accept BACS transfers. This is due to various security and legal requirements. We've seen it occur in the past that cash payments go missing in part or entirely, and it is more difficult to ensure that they are adequately accounted for in our books for tax/accounting purposes.

Please note however that the payment can be made within 14 days of the event at your earliest convenience. We issue invoices with bank details. I hope you enjoy the band and I look forward to hearing how it goes, and receiving the payment following the event.

Why?

Unfortunately, we don’t take on-the-night cash payments - would have to be a BACS transfer. There are several reasons why we do this:

1. We’re a limited company so it has to all go through accounts and be accounted for properly.
2. Aesthetically, dealing with cash on the night would disrupt the performance, and interrupt the flow of the evening.
3. Logistically, it’s complicated because the musicians are paid differently according to what sort of retainer they’re on, where they’re travelling from and by what means, how many rehearsals they’ve attended and a number of other factors such as whether they’re driving or providing sound/lighting facilities.
4. It’s a risky, insecure method of payment and we have experienced incidents such as the loss of cash on the night. The manager is not necessarily present at the performance and it’s not the producer’s job to dish out money.

However, the payment can be made within 14 days of the event at your convenience. We issue invoices with bank details. I hope you enjoy the band and I look forward to hearing how it goes, and receiving the payment promptly following the event.
